Shoulder Replacement Surgery
When arthritis or severe trauma makes movement painful and restorative treatments have failed, shoulder replacement can provide significant relief.

Total Shoulder Replacement: Replacing both the ball (humerus) and the socket (glenoid) with prosthetic components.

Hemiarthroplasty: Replacing only the ball of the joint while leaving the natural socket intact.

Reverse Shoulder Replacement: Often recommended for patients with complex rotator cuff tears and arthritis, where the ball and socket components are reversed to allow the deltoid muscle to power the arm.
Rotator Cuff Repair
The rotator cuff is a group of tendons that stabilise the shoulder. When these tendons tear due to injury or age, we utilise arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques to reattach the tendon to the bone using specialized anchors. This minimally invasive approach typically results in less post-operative pain and a more streamlined recovery.
Shoulder Arthroscopy (Keyhole Surgery)

Shoulder Stabilisation
For patients suffering from recurrent dislocations or chronic instability, we perform stabilisation procedures (such as a Bankart repair or Latarjet procedure). These surgeries aim to tighten the ligaments and repair the labrum to prevent the joint from slipping out of place.
Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis)
While many cases resolve with conservative care, persistent “frozen” shoulders may require a Capsular Release. This involves using an arthroscope to release the tight, inflamed joint capsule, followed by a targeted manipulation under anaesthesia to restore range of motion.
